What is IOP?
Intensive outpatient programming (IOP) is a level of behavioral healthcare that is typically more structured and intensive than traditional weekly therapy.
The goal of IOP is to provide individuals with the support and treatment they need to manage their mental health issues and achieve lasting recovery, while still allowing them to maintain their daily routines and responsibilities.
Curated groups
By bringing people with similar mental health challenges together, we’re able to create group environments where clients can learn how to build connections and foster long-term healing.
Individual therapy
One-on-one connections are critical to the IOP model, which is why each client’s unique treatment plan includes a primary therapist for weekly individual sessions.
Family therapy
The #1 predictor of success in IOP is family involvement. Our virtual intensive outpatient program’s family therapy component teaches communication and coping skills to create a more supportive home environment both during and after treatment.
Who is IOP for?
People with ongoing mental health issues or in a mental health crisis
IOP is designed for individuals who need more treatment andsupport than can be provided through once-weekly therapy, but who do not require the level of care provided through residential or inpatient treatment.

What our clients say
“This experience was definitely life-changing.”
I entered Charlie Health after I was inpatient at a psychiatric hospital for 8 days. I had thoughts of hurting myself and wanting my life to simply end. At first in Charlie Health, I was closed off and didn’t want to be there. Then I started to open up and I was very much satisfied with how kindly I was treated. I felt at home. I started talking a lot more with the people that were in my group and felt instantly connected with everyone. The group facilitators made it very safe and calm and would always help me and everyone else who needed anything. This experience was definitely life-changing. I have learned so much and so many different ways to cope with everything I fight on a daily basis. I am honestly so blessed that I was able to be the client of all of you, thank you so much!

“A unique and functional program.”
As a clinician working in an acute mental health hospital, it is a daily challenge to find outpatient programs for adolescents. Charlie Health has been a godsend on so many levels. Working with them has been smooth and effortless, and they are quick to respond with any questions I bring to them. The team works with clients and families to overcome any barriers, whether it be insurance or financial struggles. This program not only offers support for the clients, but for their families as well. I highly recommend Charlie Health; it is a unique and functional program with highly competent staff and programming.
