Julie Eggleston, CTRS, MS (she/her)

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Julie Eggleston became a certified therapeutic recreation specialist in 2002. For the two-plus decades since then, she’s worked in recreational therapy contexts, most recently as a Charlie Health Experiential Therapist. Julie has experience in therapeutic horseback riding, special recreation, and adapted sports, and has also taught experiential therapy to college students. She’s also worked on IEP teams and supported clients with disabilities with inclusion, behavior management, advocacy, and more. When she’s not working, Julie can be found with her family on their homestead farm in rural Illinois (it is also home to lots of animals, including four horses, two dogs, three barn cats, two pigs, and 25 chickens—many of whom are adopted). She enjoys watching the streams and wildlife on her property and is working on becoming even more sustainable.
